Auto Body shop quote and Insurance quote?

My insurance adjuster came out and cut me a check for 1,200. The check issued is a fair price.The shop i trust gave me a quote of 1,300 which means I will only have to pay 100 out of pocket. My deductible is 500. Do i still have to pay 500 even though the check will cover most of the expenses?

No…Your insurance company has ‘cashed’ you out. What ever price the shop has quoted will be the total price.

When a auto body shop orders parts, do those parts come painted?

I recently got into a fender bender, and was wondering when I buy a new fender do I need to get it painted also, or does it come painted already.

No, they paint them at the shop. The parts usually come powder coated to prevent rust, and they have to be stripped and painted.

Where can i buy covers for tires for an auto body shop?

I need the covers for the tires so that when you paint, you dont get any paint on the tires. Im looking for the ones that are not plastic. I dont want the plastic ones that come like 100 for 40$. Im looking for the ones that are made of durable fabric that you can reuse as many times as you want. I need a phone number or a website of a SPECIFIC place (not just to search on yahoo or google).
