Should I buy custom auto parts online and then take them to a custom auto shop or get them through a shop.?

It depends on the shop. I did that same thing with some springs, but I knew the mechanic.
Talk to the guys at the shop. They may just cut you a deal on the parts if you use them for the labor.

Obviously if there is a great price discrpeancy, then get them online and have them installed. If its about the samem, then get them from the shop. If you use the shops parts, then they will generally warranty them if something happens, where as if you bring them the parts, if you can get them to install them at all, they diefnately wont waranty the work
