I am looking for a custom auto garage shop?

Posted by admin on February 3, 2010

I am looking for a auto shop that does custom drive-train work. The project that I am wanting to do is to convert a 96 Imapla SS to an all-wheel drive amoung other things.
Thanks

What is your budget? Where are you located? The former is of utmost importance, the latter isn’t, if your budget is enough that you can ship the car, and live without it for a while. Also, how is your patience? Custom work isn’t like TVs overhaulin’. True custom work takes a LOT of time to be brought off without being cobbled together. If you have a decent budget, and secondary transportation to use during the down time of the car to be modified, I would suggest you call Southern Cross Customs in Salisbury, N.C.. They specialize in unusual modifications, and making them appear to be factory installations. But be forewarned, they are expensive, at $65 per hour for shop labor, and $90 per hour for engineering and about $75 per hour for computer programming.
You could get someone to do it cheaper. You get what you pay for.

Call 704-210-9532, ask for Paul. He can give you an estimate, given enough information and time to consult the engineer.
