Posted by admin on January 25, 2010

    I get 14+ volts …
I get 14+ volts coming out of my brand new alternator, but as soon as I reconnect the fusible link that connects it to my brand new battery (at 12.5 volts)… I only get about 12.8 volts at the battery terminals. It steadily climbs by .01 volts every five seconds to maybe 13.3. If turn on my bright lights, it drops down to 12.6 and stays there. I don’t understand it at all, my alternator and voltage regulator are brandnew and producing 14+ volts, but its not reflected at the battery.
