Is it possible to buy black automotive (auto body) paint for your vehicle?
Posted by admin on November 28, 2009It’s a black Chevy, and it needs auto body work, to cover chipping paint, that looks as though it burned off from the sun or something.
Is it possible to buy something being sold in the store?
And do it yourself?
you can buy any color you want. the only thing i know you can get in the parts store is spray paint in cans, and brush paint.

Any shop that sells auto paint can mix you up some paint to match what you have. They also should have an spray paint system that operates like a spray paint can for touch up and detailing.
If if is not the original color many of these shops have a way to analyze the paint color on the car and match it so that a total repainting of the car is not needed.
