Auto Body Sanding – Grinding the high spots – Blade XTR – Part 43

Yay!, another video. I’m on a roll… Well today I sanded the other side of the rear deck. After sanding I used a grinder to knock down the fiberglass high spots. I yap a lot in the video so its a little long. I will be applying the body filler tomorrow.

@DanFrederiksen Well thats true, it could be done in a mater of a few days if i had that kind of time. But I have clients that I have to take care of otherwise no money to work on the car. Anyway this is not just about a car its more about showing the process of making one.

@BaileyBlade it might be 3 years so far but you’re not exactly done yet. if you ever want to make a car for sale you should probably move it along and not worry about tutorials and related stuff.
I think the final sculpting could be done in a matter of days if you actually worked on it.

@DanFrederiksen 7 Years? Your on Crack! its only been about 3, and thats pretty good considering I started this with no knowledge on how to do it. And when I say not even on the car, I mean tutorials and car related stuff.

@Pader6789 Yeah just playing around trying new things… Sony seems to be losing their market with Vegas, and Adobe is getting easier and more stable. That was always an issue i had with adobe, it was not stable at all when dealing with 4 gig video files. But now its seems to work great.

@Eggtastic Yeah i like it, it definitely has more true production features than Sony. But Sony Vegas Pro is surprisingly good. Even a lot of my adobe friends will admit that. It has really good HD support and i think it renders better quality and it handles very large files sizes.

@MyAussieDay Yeah there are a few ways you can go after the foam is shaped, either make a mold or make the piece directly over the foam. I will explain more in the video.
