Posted by admin on June 28, 2011hi! im going to school for auto body and paint. im thinking of getting an AA degree or a certificate, but i still cant figure out whats the difference between them both or which one is better? if i apply at a auto body shop will it make any difference? say i go for the degree will that help me out more then the certificate, in a way where i might get paid more then the certificate?
AA indicates that you also took and passed classes of a general nature, like math, general science, English, etc.
Certificate indicates you only took and passed the technical classes for the subject area.

Your job application is going to compete with others. So, although a certificate will get you in the door, the added knowledge of the AA will get you that job ahead of the guy who didn’t make the extra effort. Body work is a well paid, highly skilled profession, so an employer wants the most qualified applicant. Good luck!
