    not always. that’s …
not always. that’s what i thought to but think about it this way. if you pull a shirt it will stretch but won’t rip unless you pull really hard. Concrete if you pull will crack, the stitches is what make the shirt strong, and the stitches are like holes. its weird

    Yes hand sanding is …
Yes hand sanding is about all you can do for a Coleman grill that was eaten all the way through with rust on one whole side after you sheet metal and rivet it in and apply Bondo. I ran the grill for thirty minutes afterward and will take a closer look if any heat damage occurred. You must account for drip pan side clearance when repairing Coleman grills with Bondo.

    You can body fill …
You can body fill just about any size dent on any curved surface, Make sure you sand down your surface first to remove any rust, high, and low spots. Then you may need to use bondo in a few layers. Then it is all about sanding your shape the desired shape into the bondo (to match the curved surface) that is a sort of art, and takes a bit of practice.

I’m not sure this would work very well on a grill, I don’t think it can stand up to the high temperatures and may be toxic?

    Bondo is difficult …
Bondo is difficult to apply/use except for flat surfaces. Using it for instance repairing rusted out metal in a Coleman camp stove makes for tricky application. I have read that acetone thins it out and may slow its very quick setting time so I will try that. I am a first time user and I hope it gets easier with time and thinning this tricky product out.
